	In 2006, the Daewon Music Awards were created to foster sustainable development of Korea’s classical music. Since then, the Awards have been engaged in selecting, rewarding, and honoring Koreans who have made a great contribution to the development of classical music at home and abroad.








	The Foundation aims to patronize the field of classical music in Korea, and ultimately to enhance the nation's reputation through its contributions as Daewon Music Awards, Daewon Artist Fellowships, general grants, and diverse education programs in as visionary and innovative ways as possible.

		Daewon Cultural Foundation has been actively patronizing various classical music events which have recently been held in Korea.


		Scholarships
		Daewon Cultural Foundation has generously donated scholarship funds for the improvement of the educational environment and for academic development in order to create a solid environment for nurturing promising music talents into world-class musicians.




		Education for Musicians
		Daewon Cultural Foundation has developed diverse education programs for classical musicians where they can experience a new education environment, enabling them to contribute to the development of music in Korea.


		Education for CEOs
		Daewon Cultural Foundation operates classical music education programs for the nation's leading CEOs, providing them with opportunities to become creative through the encounter with classical music.

	Mission Statement
	In the belief that pure ardor of classical music reaches the philanthropic spirit of patronage, the Daewon Cultural Foundation was established in December 2004 as a professional non-profit organization. The Foundation aims to patronize the field of classical music in Korea, and ultimately to enhance the nation’s reputation through its contributions as Daewon Music Awards, Daewon Artist Fellowships, general grants, and diverse education programs in as visionary and innovative ways as possible.
